Our professional addiction treatment team combines the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous & Narcotics Anonymous, traditional counseling and the healing arts of Modern and Alternative Medicine. Be prepared to work hard. Our interdisciplinary treatment program provides intensive individual therapy, psychiatric evaluation and addiction treatment, structured living environment and alternative holistic treatments. From 8:30 AM till 10:00 PM, you will be participating in activities such as: art therapy, recreational therapy, yoga, physical education and training, cognitive counseling, addiction education groups, nutritional counseling, anger management, life skills, amino acid therapy, EMDR, spiritual counseling, behavioral therapy, rationale emotive therapy and psychodrama groups. Special exercises such as our rope trust course, contemplation labyrinth, community barbeques, holiday celebrations, recovery egg experience, contemplative meals, Recovery Olympics and peaceful place activities will expand your therapeutic experience at C.A.R.E. and enhance your stay.
Because C.A.R.E. staff recognizes that you are a unique individual, you and your counselor will develop an individual treatment plan designed to specifically meet your special needs. Together, you and the staff will identify areas of specific concern to you. These can include, but are not limited to: Chemical Dependency, Sexual Addiction, Gambling Disorder, Family Issues, Parenting skills, Psychiatric Treatment, Medication Monitoring and Adjustment, Pain management, Nutritional Education and Meal Planning, Understanding of Mental Illness such as Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, ADHD, Schizophrenia etc.
Our Alternative Medical Staff has many unique formulas specifically designed to help you detox from Opiates such as Heroine, Oxycontin, and other opiates, Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Meth and Marijuana. Here again, because you are an individual, the highly skilled Acupuncture Physicians and Herbalists will design treatments to specifically meet your needs.
Physical Pain is frequently a contributing factor to Chemical Addiction. Without appropriate pain management, relapse is almost inevitable. For this reason, C.A.R.E. works with a physical trainer, alternative medicine practioners, our medical consultants and massage therapists to help you learn to manage your pain while eliminating and/or minimizing the use of addictive medications.
As with any life skill, recovery requires practice. During your stay at C.A.R.E., you will be offered the opportunity to practice the recovery life skills that you will need when you are ready to move on. Common experiences such as having to pass the liquor counter, dealing with drinks at a public pool, saying no to the offer of drugs etc. are all practiced in a real life, but safe and supervised setting.
When you are ready, we will help you to return to your life with knowledge and a support system you will need continue your drug and alcohol free quality sober life. You will leave treatment with a referral to a local therapist, a solid continuing care plan, a meeting list and a support plan. Naturally, your counselor and the other C.A.R.E. staff remain only a phone call away to offer you assistance and support with your initial transition.
