When you make a referral to C.A.R.E., you can feel confident that your patient will receive the tailored, full-time treatment he/she needs with one of the lowest client to staff ratios in the industry at 5:1.
There are never more than 24 patients participting in the program concurrently.
C.A.R.E. staff is trained to deal with virtually every addiction from substance abuse to gambling addictions and eating disorders, as well as dually addicted patients with various combinations of addictions and mental illness.
You will receive a bi-weekly phone or email update on the status of your patient.

If you are reading this page it is probably because you have (or soon will be making) one of the most important decisions of your life. This list is designed to make your arrival and admission a little bit easier and less stressful.
- The Most important thing to bring is a good attitude and a strong desire to recover.
- Pack casual clothing. You will only need about a week's worth as there are washing machines and dryers in every apartment. You do not need dress clothing. If you plan to be looking for a job in this area, bring an interview outfit. Remember, this is Florida. It is summer all year round. At the very coolest, jeans, a light sweater or jacket will suffice.
- Work out clothing and sneakers. These are a must. Everyone must wear sneakers in the gym.
- Bathing suits. Beach and pool are frequent activities at this program. Bring your swim things. (A minimum of two bathing suits are recommended)
- Towels. You will need hand, bath and beach towels.
- Personal Hygiene items. Bring whatever cosmetics you like with the following exceptions: No products with alcohol. No products in spray cans.
- Medications (Both Prescription and Non Prescription) need to be placed in a separate zip lock bag. These medications must be in their original bottle and must contain the name of the prescribing physician, dosage instructions etc.
- Radio, C.D. player etc. are welcome in the apartments provided they have earphones. They are not permitted in treatment.
- An inexpensive alarm clock for waking up in the morning.
- Anything else that you feel will make you more comfortable. This includes pictures, reading material, favorite pillow, stuffed animal etc.
- Stationary, stamps and writing supplies.
- Laptops, computers or any device that connects to the internet.
- Alcohol or drugs
- Money or credit cards
- Cell phones are to be turned in when you enter treatment. They will be returned upon discharge. Cell phones are NOT permitted anywhere in the program.
- Items of great value or items that cannot be replaced.
